Carl Pelini is a former American football coach who is currently the defensive line coach at Bowling Green State University. He was born on July 28, 1965 in Youngstown, Ohio.
Pelini began his coaching career in 1993 as a graduate assistant at Iowa State University. He went on to coach at various colleges, including Ohio, Minnesota, Nebraska, and FAU. Pelini also has experience coaching in the NFL as a defensive line coach for the Green Bay Packers.
Pelini was the head coach at Florida Atlantic University from 2012 to 2013, where he compiled a 5-15 record. He resigned amid allegations of drug use, although he later denied any wrongdoing.
Pelini has a reputation for being a passionate and hardworking coach who is dedicated to the success of his players. He is known for his defensive expertise and has helped develop multiple players who have gone on to play in the NFL.
